Have not been to hospital in many years. Was surprised to pull up to valet parking and Manhattan style hotel lobby. Building is immaculate and modern. Staff is spot on. Atmosphere is calm And quiet. Would highly recommend!

The hospital staff in the emergency room here are incredibly neglectful and disgustingly rude in this ER! I got one name of an ER staff memeber I communicated with and only because she picked up the phone and said her name was Diane... My brother came here because of stones on 12/15/23 at around 12 noon and they sent his meds to a pharmacy that was having staffing issues. My brother reached out to the hospital multiple times and was left on hold for more than an hour and even spoke to the attending doctor and informed him. They claimed they sent medication to another pharmacy and never did! They took no initiative to help my brother. I finally called for my brother and I realized what the issue really was, neglectful rude staff. The first nurse did not want to answer my questions. She was snotty and rude then hung up on me after I told her she was being rude. I asked her for her name because she didn't want to answer any of my questions properly, she would steer away from my questions with a statement instead of an answer. I called back and the second nurse that answered "Diane" was also rude and had an annoyed tone of voice and refused to give me the first ladies name I was talking to and also insinuated that I was a liar when I told her the first lady was rude and hung up on me. Since Diane was also rude after asking what I needed to ask I then asked for the supervisor of the hospital. Diane put me on hold and got back on to tell me the supervisor was too busy and couldnt speak with me. Diane then refused to give me the supervisors name! Why would anyone refuse to give names of staff members if you did nothing wrong, thats because they did...Diane said they would also call in another medicine LATER. You would think you would attend to the patient from 12 noon today instead of brush him off after they told you they are in pain. Nope...They never called another medicine in. These specific nurses and doctor at this hospital are just in it for a paycheck. They lack patience, customer service, compassion and integrity. They are not what the hospital mission stands for. Providing high quality patient care and acting with integrity at all times. These are not the type of people that need to be nurses and doctors.

DISCRIMINATION Went to see a Social Worker but she’s not around. I asked front desk if I can go to cafeteria to grab some food. It was already past 12pm and I have not eaten anything ‘coz I came from check-up elsewhere. She said sure and mentioned they have decent food. She asked for my ID and no., asked me to have a seat since her printer isn’t working. After a few minutes 2 security men came to me and asked if I was there to see a patient. I said no, I only wanted to grab food at their cafeteria as I have not eaten yet and I really am hungry (I’m pregnant btw). They said their cafeteria is only for hospital patients and their guests. I asked if I can buy food for take out. They said NO. They recommended I walk down the block, there is a diner. I said I can’t walk that far, I already have difficulty walking. Waited for my ride (while security and reception were waiting for me to leave). After a while I went back to front desk and told the lady to tell her colleague she did not need to call security to tell me I can’t buy food at their cafeteria. She could have told me right away. I have no ill intentions of going there. I am really hungry and I am pregnant! I told her and the security that I FEEL DISCRIMINATED. They were shocked and suddenly offered to give me food or buy me food. I said no need, my ride was already there. Such awful staff. What a way to treat a person.

Dr. Zvi Dubin is really the most unprofessional doctor I ever seen, was disinterested in anything, and formed his opinion before I even finished describing everything. Gave me an over the counter prescription that doesn’t exist and could be overdose quantity, and declined prescribing medication for me that worked previously, worst experience ever. Ended call before I agreed to like he doesn’t want to do his job anymore. A horrendous experience, and if Northwell Emergency On Demand fails, it’s because of doctors like these. Also he might be the reason I am out of work next week. Avoid At All Costs!

I wouldn’t go to this hospital if I was you. I rate this hospital zero stars. I would have chose somewhere else if I knew they were gonna send me home without being treated. Not only that, I was charged a bill for no blood work being done only swabbed and urine. I work for the United States Postal Service and I am a young female aged of 22. I usually suffer from migraines but this time it was really unpleasant. I went to urgent care first where they told me I had a fever of 103 and a pulse of 142 which is quite strange for a young healthy person. They sent me to the hospital. Anyways, I asked to do further testing at the hospital and they refused me the patient. They should have done blood work and more scans to make sure they didn’t miss anything and find the problem. I will say what negligence on their part. God forbid something serious happens to me because of their negligence is terrible. I woke up this morning still with fever of course my body is fighting some sort of infection however they didn’t care to find out the problem and dismissed me. If I was you I would much likely go to a hospital that actually cares about their patients. What a terrible experience.

Syosset Hospital, the old Long Island small community hospital now is a true boutique hospital. They specialize in a few surgeries (im here for hip) and the teamwork from valet Parker to security, to transport to intake, The Food!!!, nursing n and surgical team, recovery n therapy were all flawlessly in sync. I live a great distance away and through the case manager and social worker I received many dozens of follow up therapy proposals...But My sister-in-law who is a PT counseled me not to travel to far, and saw that the Sterns Family Rehab was on the list of connected facilities. It was arranged and I'm writing this from Sterns in Manhasset after a day of rest, preparing for therapy tomorrow. I'll comment on it when I leave. But for now Northwell Syosset Hospital was one of my best experiences ever concerning surgery. I strongly recommend it.

5 star hospital. The staff is very trained and experienced. The surgeons are top notch especially for orthopedics, the RNs, PAs, and Nursing Aids are all fantastic caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable. I had open fracture ankle surgery and the support I received in after care and pain management was phenomenal. Everyone is so very attendful here, they never let you feel like you are alone. Even the hospital food is delicious and was able to cater to my gluten free Celiac diet. I originally started at a hospital in Oceanside with my broken ankle and they were horrendous to put it lightly. Sysosset Hospital really made all the difference to getting me back on the road to recovery. God bless them and all who work here.

I had a terrible experience here. I went into the hospital late last night after experiencing lower right abdominal pain. I was told to go by city md to check for appendicitis or an ovarian cyst. I arrived in the hospital and was taking in right away. When I was put in a bed the nurse, her name was Denise came over to introduce herself. From the moment she introduced herself I knew this was going to be a rough experience. She was short and rude. She left to speak with the dr and came back with vials to draw blood. I get very nervous with bloodwork and just wanted to make her aware so I let her know. She also wanted to give me IV fluids when there was no need considering I drink 60-80oz of water a day. They didn’t even take a urine sample yet or blood work to check if I was dehydrated. I denied the IV fluids. When she inserted the iv she was very rough and jabbed the needle around which hurt a lot. She then flushed the IV after which I mistakenly thought was her prepping me for IV fluids which I started I didn’t want. She then raised her voice at me and said “I’m not giving them to you” rudely. Given my fear and the already traumatic experience this was unprofessional and in acceptable. After this interaction a homeless man was wheeled into the bed next to me. He was snoring extremely loudly. After he woke up he was yelling for a nurse to come help him go to the bathroom, No one came and he began urinating on the ground. The staff was clearly not interested in helping anyone that evening. After the doctor apologized to me and moved me to another room, I noticed the nurse I had earlier, giving a completely different experience to an elderly woman in the next bed. I don’t recommend this hospital. If I god forbid have to go to the hospital again, I will be driving to Mather all the way out east.
